EuroBLECH 2024 in Hannover

Messe Hannover opened its doors to 1,184 exhibitors from the metal industry from October 22 to 24. At EuroBLECH, manufacturers and suppliers of materials, machines and tools were able to demonstrate their specific solutions along the entire sheet metal working technology chain. The international trade fair offered a unique platform for knowledge transfer and the creation of global business contacts. XFAIR was also on site to provide our customers with advice and assistance and to ensure that everything ran smoothly during the trade fair.

The task

This time, our customers each needed a registration tool that could handle both ticketing and hotel management. A solution for stand management and meeting room management was also requested.

In addition to equipping an information desk with workstations for stand personnel, including a network, the technical requirements included setting up XFAIR software on the customer’s own hardware.

The implementation

On the one hand, the XFAIR team set up an online registration system that enabled employees on the customer side to order a ticket directly when registering for the trade fair service. In the same process, meeting rooms could be booked in advance. The iPads installed by the XFAIR technicians were used to display the occupancy of the respective room. XFAIR equipped this customer’s trade fair stand with telephones and Internet at the information desk so that visitors could be put in touch with their contacts easily via our stand management solution. Preparations for this project took two and a half months.

Secondly, an online registration was required that could be made available to both employees and invited visitors. Several registration groups were configured for this purpose, differentiating between employees, visitors and delegations. Meeting room management was also integrated into this online registration, as was hotel management. The latter included the distribution of the requested bookings via the hotel contingents acquired by the customer. The XFAIR check-in tool was used to register employees at the trade fair stand. After completing the registration process, stand personnel received an e-mail from the XFAIR system, which they could use to check in and out by scanning their e-tickets.

The result

In addition to online registration, including ticketing, our SMS module was used to send an SMS from the XFAIR system every morning to all employees registered for the day with information for the day of the trade fair. This feature was also used in the meantime when there were internal messages relevant to the trade fair team. Of course, we are very pleased when one or more functions of our solutions are particularly popular with customers.

Thanks to the trusting and intensive cooperation during the almost four-month preparation phase, which was consolidated through many years of experience, we can also look back on a successful project for the more extensive of the two orders at EuroBLECH. This once again demonstrated the great advantage of XFAIR’s extremely flexible system.
